Becoming involved with herpes support and social groups are the best thing you can do for yourself if you have genital herpes, oral herpes or even HPV (human papilloma virus). The social stigma which has been attached to people with herpes, can make a person who is newly diagnosed feel like a leper when in fact, they truly shouldn't feel that way.
Why am I not surprised. People think "It won't happen to me" and some of those who do have it are living in denial if they know they have it or are simply uninformed.
